Hello – we are thrilled that you are interested in becoming a NCF Volunteer.
Volunteering with the Northern Cleft Foundation provides a great opportunity to work in a committed team, delivering high quality care to underprivileged children in India. It enables you to experience a different health care system whilst working alongside highly skilled professionals from the NHS.
Unfortunately there are no further outreaches confirmed currently. Should the situation change we will post the relevant dates here.
Who can volunteer?
Our team of volunteers is made up fantastically skilled medical professionals and general volunteers including:
Consultant Surgeons • Consultant Anaesthetists • SpRs in Surgery and Anaesthetics • Scrub nurses • Recovery nurses • Ward nurses • Anaesthetic nurses • Medical Students • Dental Students
Speech Therapists and Orthodontists are now also part of the team.
You must be at least 18 years of age at the anticipated time of travel.
What costs are involved?
It costs £1500 to participate in the outreach. This amount covers hotel, flight and administrative fees for each individual, but excludes visa costs which are subject to change and need to be confirmed, if accepted on the outreach. If you need help, we can suggests ways in which you can fundraise.
